CRIME REPORT; 11-15-2010

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At About 4:35 P.M. on Sunday afternoon, Officer Herd responded to a call of a disturbance in the 1700 block of Butternut.  While investigating this disturbance, a 30 year old male began using abusive and offensive language toward another individual.  This individual was offended by the language used and it did occur in a public place, so the male was arrested for disorderly conduct.

 

At about 9:15 P.M. last night, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of N. Mockingbird for a seatbelt violation.  Upon contacting the driver, a 34 year old male, it was found that his driver’s license was suspended.  He was arrested for Driving While License Invalid and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

Finally, at about 10:18 P.M. last night, Officer Joeris responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Sayles.  While investigating this disturbance it was found that a 21 year old male had threatened another individual with a knife.  This male was located a short distance from the scene, hiding from police.  The knife that was described by the victim was also located with this individual.  He was arrested for Aggravated Assault and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

CRIME REPORT; 11-16-2010

 

Good Morning! Here is your police report for Tuesday November 16, 2010…

 

At about 3:48pm yesterday afternoon, Officer Martin Walker was dispatched to a call of an armed subject in the 1300 block of Hickory Street. There he contacted a 41 year old female who had a tire iron in her hand.  Further investigation revealed that this woman had local warrants totaling over $1,600.00. She was arrested on the warrants and booked into the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about 6:29pm, Officer Herd was dispatched to a retail store in the 4700 block of Catclaw Drive. Loss Prevention officers reported that a 30 year old female that had previously been warned to stay away from this store was inside the store. The woman was contacted and arrested for Criminal Trespass. She was found to have concealed some clothing items in her purse, and the price tags had been removed from these items. The woman was charged with Removal of Writings, Theft, and Criminal Trespass.

 

At about 4:00am this morning, Officer Ruiz found a car parked in the drive through lane at a financial institution located in the 2500 block of Buffalo Gap Rd. The officer found a 27 year old man asleep in the back seat of this car. Upon contact, the man was found to be intoxicated and he was arrested for Public Intoxication and booked into jail.

CRIME REPORT; 11-17-2010

 

Good Morning! Here is your police report for Wednesday November 17, 2010…

 

At about 11:53 yesterday morning, Officer Coby Wright was dispatched to a theft call at a convenience store in the 3100 block of Grape Street. Store employees reported that someone had stolen a donation jar from the counter a couple of days prior to that. The cash in the jar was being collected for a charity. Investigation revealed that the theft was captured on video, and the investigation into this theft is continuing.

 

At about 11:09 last night, Officer Aron Bryan stopped a car in the 3000 block of State Street for a traffic violation. A passenger in the car, a 20 year old male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for theft. The man repeatedly gave Officer Bryan an incorrect date of birth, but eventually gave the correct information and the warrant was verified. The man was arrested for the warrant, and he was also charged with Fail to Identify.

 

At about 12:35 this morning, Officer Valdez stopped a car in the 1200 block of Westview for a couple of traffic violations. Upon contacting the driver, Officer Valdez detected an odor of fresh marijuana. The driver of the car was found to have a baggie of marijuana on his person, and paraphernalia in the vehicle. The 17 year old man was arrested and charged with misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.

Also reported: animal trap and various other yard items were stolen between 8pm & 8am in the 700 block of Peach.  Guess the holiday thieves are out early this year!!
