CRIME REPORT; 05-19-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 10:45 P.M. last night, Officer Valentine stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Grape for a wide right turn.  A K-9 was called to assist and alerted on the vehicle.  During a search of the vehicle, a useable amount of marijuana was located.  The driver, a 24 year old male, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

 

At about 11:30 P.M. last night, Officer Martinez stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Meander for an expired registration.  A K-9 was called to assist and alerted on the vehicle.  A useable amount of marijuana was located inside a 19 year old female’s purse.  She was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

 

Finally at about 2:15 A.M. this morning, Officer Peavy contacted several suspicious subjects in the 5400 block of South 7th.  One of the subjects, a 19 year old male, was found to be in possession of a firearm.  He was arrested and charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

CRIME REPORT; 05-23-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday afternoon at about 2:00 PM Officer Terry Odom contacted a male who was passed out on the sidewalk at a south side business establishment.  The man was so intoxicated that he could not stand.  He was arrested for Public Intoxication.

 

At about 9:30 yesterday evening Officer Chris Volirakis was driving down S 1st  street when a man stumbled in front of his patrol car.  Officer Volirakis contacted the man who refused to identify himself.  The man was intoxicated and placed under arrest for Public Intoxication and Failure to Identify. 

 

And finally at about 12:45 this morning Officer Volirakis again was dispatched to a disturbance on the south side.  En routs Officer Volirakis was informed that there was an active Protective Order in force at the residence.  Officer Volirakis saw a vehicle leave the residence and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.  The driver ignored Officer Volirakis until he finally stopping in the 1300 blk of Sewell.

CRIME REPORT; 05-24-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday afternoon at about 4:30 pm Officer Jimmy Woods answered a call of a found 2 year old child.  The mother of this child was located about an hour and a half later.  A computer check of the mother revealed she had multiple outstanding warrants.  She was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana.  She was arrested and transported to the Taylor County Jail.  Child protective Services took custody of the child.     

 

 

And finally at about 1950 yesterday afternoon Officer Mary Guitar stopped a vehicle in the 2400 block of N 3rd for displaying expired registration.  The driver was found to have outstanding warrants and was arrested and transported to Taylor county Jail.

CRIME REPORT; 05-25-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday morning at about 1120 agents with the SOD unit executed a search warrant in the 200 blk of Victoria.  A female was arrested for Possession of meth Amphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and an outstanding warrant.  A male at the residence was also arrested for Possession of marijuana and an outstanding warrant. 

 

At about 12:15 yesterday Officer Terry Odom responded to a report of gunfire coming from a field in the 2800 blk of loop 322.  The property owner opened a gate for Officer Odom and he found that a man was out in the field shooting his 10mm pistol.  The man did not have permission to be on the property and was discharging a firearm in the city limits.  The man was charged with Criminal Trespass with a deadly weapon.   

 

And finally at about 12:15 this morning Officer Jesus Villarreal was dispatched to a southside business.  A female clerk was charged with faking sales transactions and allowing the customers to leave the store with approximately $2400.00 in merchandise.  Two other females were also arrested for Theft.
