CRIME REPORT; 6-9-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at about Officer Matt Allen responded to a call from a man who called the police and requested to be arrested for Public Intoxication.  When Officer Allen arrived the man said that he had been drinking and “huffing” from a bunch of cans.  The man claimed he needed to go to jail for a few days to get “straightened out”.  The man was obviously intoxicated and had been walking in traffic.  He was arrested for Public Intoxication. 

 

Yesterday was a slow arrest day.  This is all for now.

CRIME REPORT; 6-10-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday afternoon at about 12:20 pm Officer Mike Janusz responded to a burglary in progress call in the 800 blk of Sycamore.  A male suspect was located in the area and fled from officers on foot.  He was apprehended and charged with Evading Arrest. 

 

Yesterday at about 5:15 pm Det Jeff Cowan contacted a female subject suspected in stealing copper wire.  She had outstanding warrants and was placed under arrest on those warrants.  The copper wire theft is still under investigation. 

 

And Finally at about 5:15 pm Officer Randy Brown was dispatched to a criminal trespass in progress at a south side business.  Officer Brown contacted a female subject who gave Officer Brown a false name.    Her real name was discovered and she had been warned previously of criminal trespass.  The was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Trespass, Failure to Identify, and seven traffic warrants.

CRIME REPORT; 6-13-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday afternoon at about 5:30 PM Officer Scott Brannon was dispatched to an accident in the 1300 blk of Graham.  The driver of one of the vehicles appeared intoxicated and said that she had been drinking and had taken Xanex.  She was given the Field Sobriety Tests which she failed.  This female subject was placed under arrest for DWI and provided a blood sample, results pending.  She also had 2 children under age 10 in the car with her. 

 

Last night at about 10:20 PM Officer Andrew Valdez stopped a car in the 1800 blk of Victoria for a traffic offense.  The driver appeared intoxicated and also failed the Field Sobriety Tests.  This male subject was placed under arrest for DWI and refused a Breath test. 

 

And Finally last night at about 12:25 AM Officer Josh Davis was dispatched to the 700 blk of Hahn Circle to a disturbance.  Officer Davis contacted a female victim who said that she had been assaulted and had visible injuries.  A male suspect was  also present and he was placed under arrest for Assault Family Violence.  This male subject also had an outstanding warrant for Assault Family Violence.

CRIME REPORT; 6-14-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday afternoon at about 6:30 pm Detective Erin Bennett interviewed a female subject in an investigation where a 2 year old had been injured.  This female subject admitted to striking the child in the face which caused bruising.  She was arrested for Injury to a Child. 

 

This morning at about 1:55 am Officer Brian Poyner stopped a car in the 1200 blk of Kirkwood.  This car had been reported as a possible intoxicated driver.  Officer Poyner observed the car swerve into an oncoming lane of traffic before he stopped it.  The female driver failed the Standardized Field Sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DWI.  She was transported to the Taylor County Jail where she provided a breath test.  The results were 0.194 and 0.189.  The legal limit is 0.08.

 

And Finally at about 2:20 am this morning Officer Andrew Valdez was dispatched to a single car traffic accident in the 2200 blk of Pine.  The driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylor County Jail.  He refused a breath test.
