I wish I would have saw this post before I moved here. Biggest mistake of my life. Property management was terrible and the B.O.D is the worst I've ever experienced. Bunch of old bitter folks wanting to feel important. If you have kids this is absolutely the worst place for them if they like to go outside. The letters and ridiculous fines are there to force people to conform to their HOA Nazi ways. I had to apologize to my kids for moving them here

Believe it or not the current board is better than the board last year. Despite the great elementary school accross the street Lakeridge is no place for kids. There is no place to play and spread their wings. Maybe walking a dog will get them outside but  they will be filmed to make sure they clean and leash their pet at all times. This should really be a no kids complex. I'm  guessing you are a renter or you would have done your homework. Keep your  kids covered  with mosquito repellant because they are thriving around all the ponds and standing water.

A renter? LOL...oh, I don't know.....he/she sounds like my ex-neighbor who told me she specifically bought at Lakeridge so her grandkids, 10yrs old, or younger, could play on the tennis courts. I thought to myself 'lady, kids are NOT supposed to play on tennis courts...they are for tennis, only. I can just see it now...they'll be riding their skate boards on the courts and ruining the expensive surface'. She was clueless. Re the mosquitos....LA COUNTY VECTOR CONTROL should be called to spray. I would think any citizen has the right to call a public agency re a potential health issue, not just the management company, or board members.
Just saw this posting on the NEXT DOOR APP re Whittier & Mosquitos: Whittier has tested positive for the Aedes mosquito, which happen to be pretty aggressive little suckers (literally) and can be carriers of diseases. We have not had any cases of Zika or anything like it, at this point, which is why Vector Control has to be invited to test our yards. Some homes in the area have let Vector control in and some have not. Whittier is now the new line for these mosquitos.
