LHNA Front Yard Picnics Becoming More Popular

We've found a cooler time of year.

LHNA Front Yard Picnics sprung up all over the neighborhood again this year in early June! It seems we’ve finally found a cool time of year to host these get togethers, which are becoming more and more popular! This year’s picnics were threatened by rain showers, but we all avoided getting wet and appreciated the cooler weather! Just about every street throughout Lakewood Heights celebrated this very simple, yet fun way to get to know each other, with over 200 new and long-time neighbors joining in the fun within the eight participating streets neighborhood-wide!
Hopefully, all eleven LHNA streets can join in the fun next June! Lakeshore, Velasco, and Vanderbilt touted the most participants with about 50 at each of their picnics! It was reported that extra trips to buy more hotdogs and buns were even necessary for most streets! LHNA will GLADLY purchase even more supplies for NEXT YEAR! What a fun way to know your neighbors!

Thanks to all the hard work and creativity of picnic hosts & LHNA volunteers who made this a success again this year on YOUR street:
Pam Manahan & Hillary Hudgens, Carey & Chris Moseley, Cleave & Marion Buchanan, Mark Dressendorfer & Donna Turman, Don Wilmarth, Lynn & Rick Wright, Susan & JP Moore, Anne Calhoun, Ed Westmeyer, and Barbara Koegl ! Give them a big thanks the next time you see them!

Special Thanks

Thanks also to Anne Calhoun for donation coordination. A big thank you goes to our freinds at Albertsons in Hillside for helping to support our picnics this year!
