Saturday August 8th at 7am a group of homeowners is getting together to loosen the sand in the Tot Lots.  We will be starting at the tot lot near Casltegate and Ocotillo first and then move our way west on Castlegate until we finish all three.  Anyone interested in helping, please show up with a shovel, rake, or Tiller.  Hopefully we will not be more than a few hours...as long as we have enough help.

There is more info on this topic in the "Play Area Sand" thread.

We need to do this next saturday instead (the 15th).  I just got off the phone with the utilites.  They need to come out and mark where the utility lines are so that we don't dig them up by accident and they wont be out until monday to mark them.

So, my plan is for next saturday, the 15th.  Please pass the word on.

The plan to till the sand in the tot lots has been quashed.  I got an email from the property manager saying that our insurance company will not allow ANYONE to do ANY work on the property unless they are licensed, bonded, and insured.  So, in the email, it said that if we did this work and anyone got hurt during or ANYTIME after, for an unlimited amount of time (for ever) on the tot lots, the insurance company would not cover it and would say the HOA was negligent for allowing us to do this.

So, unless anyone has any other ideas, we are going to have to hold off and get a contractor...
