Neighborhood Issues - Contact Action Line

The City wants to make your neighborhood a good place to live. The Action Line at 297-2535 is the place to report neighborhood problems or to get information about services.

Code Violations that should be reported are:
High Grass and Weeds—Grass and weeds more than 12 inches high are a code violation.

Inoperative or derelict cars—The City can require property owners to remove inoperative cars from yards or driveways. It must be obvious that the cars are not derivable.

Unsecured vacant buildings and dilapidated structures—If a building is vacant and open, the owner can be required to secure it. If it is dilapidated, the owner must remodel or remove it. If the owner fails to take
action, the City can hire a contractor to secure or remove the building.

The City can secure a building rather quickly, but it can take several months to remove a building because of the legal steps involved.

If you need help or want to report a violation—Call the Action Line at 297-2537!
