Summary of General Meeting - February 16, 2004

Opening and Committee Reports

Suzy Glover called the meeting to order at 6:33pm. The Opening Prayer was lead by Jake de Busk.
Minutes of the last meeting were read by Kay Ferrell and accepted without correction. Cindy Nocton gave the Treasurer’s Report and announced that the bank balance was $1328.24.
Business items discussed included a Patrolling Update. It was reported that young guys in orange jackets and bandannas are being seen in the area. All patrols were reminded of call-in, signs, radios, and cell phones.
The newsletter and the spring picnic were discussed. Easter Basket Ticket sales and donations are underway.

Business Items

Suzy announced the Housing & Community Development meeting scheduled for the 17th – Angie Alltizer announced that Neighborhood Services applied for funds to hire 2 new code enforcement officers.
Brentwood Neighborhood Watch has asked for a presentation at their meeting. Suzy will be out of town, so Kay and Gary Ferrell will stand in.

Guest Speaker and Closing

Our guest speaker was Rex Givens – Candidate for Ward 2 Council Member. He discussed his qualifications and vision for the city of Lawton.
