Leave early.

Safely make your way out of the area.  If you desire go to our

Safe Refuge Area that is on the ocean side of San Simeon

Road at Highway 1.

Before evacuating, park vehicles facing outward.

Put valuables, important documents, medications, etc. in your

vehicle.

Secure pets and prepare them for transport. Call the Horse 

Emergency Evacuation Team for assistance for these

        animals: 466-7457

Close shutters, windows, heavy drapes and fireplace dampers.

Remove thin drapes, and flammables from near windows.

Turn on outside lights and leave some inside lights on.

Wear long pants, long sleeved shirt, glasses or goggles, hat

and dry  bandana over your face.   Cotton rather than 

flamable synthetics.

Turn off gas at meter.

Drive with headlights on.
