A while back, I saw a man with a cardboard sign that read, ?“Everybody needs a little help sometimes.?” That?’s absolutely true, isn?’t it? Often times, very little time and effort on our parts can make a huge difference in someone else?’s life. At times, people with a need for help don?’t know who they can ask, or don?’t know they can ask. Those of us who ?“have?” (time, skills, tools) can help those of us who ?“have not?” when we know there is a need. Do you have a neighbor whose yard needs attention due to that person not having the tools or ability to do the yardwork? Do you know someone, including yourself, who?’s unable to drive to appointments or the grocery store, or who has an unexpected need for help? If you have ideas on how to get the ?“haves?” together with the ?“have nots?”, please attend the next Linda Vista Neighborhood Committee Meeting. We would love to hear your thoughts on how we can all help each other. After all, aside from getting a hug from a little child, nothing makes a person feel better inside than helping someone who really needs it.
