Thanks to the efforts of the HOA Board, our HOA streets are now illuminated with new street lights to provide added safety and security of homeowners, pedestrians, bikers and motor vehicle operators. A few more blackout panels are planned to reduce unwanted bright lighting from entering nearby houses.
Thanks to the efforts of Kathy Dwyer and Jane Salmon, our HOA entry area has been provided with new atrractive landscaping that also permits easy viewing of our entry sign. The spring will find the final work to be concluded and new lighting installed for the signs. This project was done with limited funding and much self help.
The month of October found our street surfaces being repaired and resurfaced with a chip seal coating. Key to this process was the use of small size rock chips that better served our needs with a quality, long term, surface and a minimum of debris. This $80k project with provide our streets with a surface that should last for 8 - 10 years. A new street surface evaluation at that time will be made to consider a complete milled and resurfaced street . The HOA Board is already budgeting for that costly project, now well down the road.
