I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF THERE IS AN INTEREST IN ADDING MORE STREET LIGHTING. WE WOULD HAVE TO GET INPUT FROM NEIGHBORS AS TO WHERE LIGHTING WOULD BE NEEDED, THEN TAKE IT TO THE DEVELOPER TO TAKE TO LG&E. AS RESIDENTS, IT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL IF WE ALL USED SOME SORT OF EXTERIOR LIGHTING NIGHTLY ON OUR HOMES. I COUNTED LAST NIGHT AND OUT OF THE HOUSES I PAST TO GET TO MY HOUSE ON PERWINKLE LN, THERE WERE 8 HOUSES OUT OF 23 USING THEIR EXTERIOR LIGHTING. OUR NEIGHBORHOOD IS EXTREMELY DARK, IT WOULD BE LOOK BETTER, BE SAFER FOR ANY WALKERS OR RUNNERS AND POSSIBLY DETER ANY FUTURE THEFT OR VANDALISM. IF RESIDENTS ARE NOT WANTING TO LEAVE THEIR LIGHTING ON ALL NIGHT LONG, THERE ARE TIMERS AND DEVICES THAT YOU CAN PUT ON YOUR LIGHTING TO CONTROL WHEN YOUR LIGHTING US USED. OF COURSE, DUE TO MY CAREER PATH, I REALIZE THAT MOST OF YOU WILL THINK THAT THE PREVIOUS SENTENCE WOULD SOUND LIKE A SALES PITCH. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT IN THE SENSE THAT I WOULD LIKE EVERY RESIDENT (NO MATTER WHAT AREA OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD YOU RESIDE) TO MAKE A CONTIOUS EFFORT TO USE YOUR EXTERIOR LIGHTING ON A DAILY BASIS. AS FAR AS THE STREET LIGHTING GOES, IF OTHERS ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE POST AND I WILL HELP IN ANY WAY I CAN.
THANKS,
SHAWN CORRIGAN
