Pool Rules-No Guest??

Posted in: Little Spring Farm

We are new to the this community and I am very unhappy that I will not be able to bring my grandchildren to the pool! How can I tell a 7 and a 3 year old that they can't go swimming here when they will be here with us all summer? I won't be able to go myself!

I agree that the residents should be given extra bracelets for their family and guest. This is very disappointing.

If your grandchildren are going to be with you for a significant amount of time, I would send their information in with yours when you pay your HOA fees.  They are your family, staying in your home and I don't think anyone would have issue with that and it's a reasonable use of the pool.  When we first moved in 6 years ago, we got photo id's and they had us send in the same information.  They even allowed you to send in the names of family or children's caregivers who spent time in your home, to be included in who could use the pool.  I agree with the other poster that using the ADA as an excuse to ban all guests is kind of questionable.  I certainly don't think it's fair to ban all guests.  It's our pool, we pay yearly fees to use.  There should be some happy medium.

I think it is ridiculous myself.  I'll be damned if I pay $750 a year in HOA fees and I can't bring any of my family members to the pool.  We need to have more say in what is going on in our own neighborhood.

I have read all posts over the growing displeasure with our current HOA board and it's practices.  The question I have is, who will be enforcing these new rules?  Will it be the teenage lifeguards?  Who does the pool staff report to; do they report to Mr. Brown who will not respond to anything having to do with our neighborhood, or do they report to Trish Baker who I do not think will call the police to have a residents guests removed?

To all residents, please familiarize yourselves with the deed restrictions and updates located under documents and links on this web page.  Someone with a more substantial legal background may be able to help us develop options to deal with the current rise in frustration over these issues.
