Has everyone received their new tax evaluation curtsey of the Harris County Tax Commissioners office?
My house was appraised 5 yrs prior. The new appraisal was quiet surprising.
Can everyone expect this type of increase every few years? Homestead is a standard deduction; however it is not a ''freeze''.

My tax assessment went up 5.8% over the previous year, which seemed steep to me too. Hopefully they won't continue climbing at that rate.
