Livingston Avenue Collaborative for Community Development

LACCD Bids Farewell to Director, Longtime Contributors, Friends

Nov 19, 2003

Tracey Maxwell Heard, who served as LACCD Executive Director since November 1999, has left the organization to pursue other professional endeavors. During her tenure, Tracey navigated LACCD?’s evolution from a small agency with limited funds to amassing an annual budget of over $100,000, in addition to establishing publication of ?‘The Collaborative Times,?” the organization?’s initial newsletter. Instrumental in the formation of the Citizens On Patrol (COP) and area Block Watch programs, Tracey also worked as a liaison to many city civic associations and area commissions to address problems affecting LACCD?’s targeted community.

Christine Goddard, who for two years has served as an LACCD Intern from the City of Columbus?’ Neighborhood Development Division, has accepted a Project Manager position with The United Way of Central Ohio. She played an intricate role in performing many tasks within the organization during her internship, all while completing graduate studies at The Ohio State University.

Both of these women were passionate about their communities and worked tirelessly to improve conditions along the Livingston Avenue corridor; they will be sorely missed.
