Now that the city has decided to start spraying, does anyone know if the county and or the HOA is doing or planning on doing the same? We've got a lot of standing water and grass on HOA property, and a good number of residents in high risk ages. Isn't it fun living in the WORST county in the nation? The county health department expects it to get worse yet.
Mosquito control

Hello Mark, thanks for taking time to voice your concerns.
While I cannot give you the exact dates, etc. I wanted to let you know that John Trioano has spread the recommended mosquito chemicals twice on the pond area at the end of Wellington this year. We at the Board received some concerned comments regarding the use of these chemicals and the affects on the aviary population, but we were told this was not a concern due to the way in which the chemicals work in the mosquito reproduction cyle - basically it removes mosquitos from the food chain altogether, so the red wing blackbirds will have to find something else to eat.

I am sure John can fill you in on the details...
I for one am very glad he took this job on because we are all now benefitting from his donation of time and energy.
