Streets are paths that are shared with motor vehicles, bicycles, walkers and runners they were never intended exclusively for cars.

Ignorance seems to shine in this forum, let the kids play there is nothing wrong with fellow neighbors getting together with there kids and enjoying life, thats what makes a great neighborhood!

If it causes me to drive down another street so they can have fun and be safe so be it!

Lone Oak Parke attracted me to it because of the friendly neighborhood where kids played without the danger of being hit by cars, people were outside walking there dog, running or riding bicycles. Now I'm finding out that maybe it's not friendly. 

Maybe its time to move back to the old neighborhood were kids and families were out everyday enjoying themselves in a non gated community.

I don't have a problem with kids playing, neighbors enjoying the day and each others company.  I drive through there slowly every time, and I've still had you people stare me down for some reason.  That's fine to.  But, please watch your kids outside if they are little.  I've driven through there and had multiple little ones run out from behind a car in the street, which makes it pretty damn hard to stop no matter what speed your driving.  We all understand you are trying to protect the kids, but you still have to watch after them.

maybe we should look at adding "speed bumps" in the neighborhood.  This would help and also keep so many cars from being in the street.  Kind of easier to see children when there aren't 73 vehicles to drive through.
