On the evening of 3 July a neighbor on NW 164th Terrace, east of the Main Gate, called 911. OKCFD's Truck #3 arrived, and an ambulance from EMSA showed up a few minutes later. Luckily, the situation did not lead to the neighbor being taken to a hospital. At that time, though, another neighbor had to make a mad dash to the Main Gate in order to get these "first responders" into the neighborhood.
Is there a way first responders are able to get into the neighborhood when the gates are closed? If so, how? If not, why not?
Also, when can we expect the gates to be consistently opened and closed, now that the neighborhood is almost entirely built? As of today (4 July) the vacant lot on NW 164th now has a "SOLD" sign, and I'd expect construction to begin at any time.
I am assuming nothing but best practices and goodwill in this matter, as this concerns all of us here.
