Help Keep Long Hollow A Safe Place to Live

Safe Neighborhoods are GREAT Neighborhoods. Help keep Long Hollow safe by reporting all suspicious activities and persons to the Pensacola Police Department. For emergencies, please call 911. For non-emergencies, please call 435-1900.

Residents have already made a great impact on reducing crime in our area. Keep up the good work, call the Police each time you see activities that are illegal. With the Soup Kitchen nearby, we frequently see an increase in transient traffic around mealtimes. If you see transients with open alcohol containers, trespassing on private property, or setting up camp sites in the area, please call the Police.

Other good safety tips from the Pensacola Police Department:

* Take a good look around your property, make sure you aren't advertising for Trouble. Keep your bikes, your lawnmower, weedeaters, etc. locked up. Don't leave valuables lying on your porch. Lock your car doors. Make sure you don't leave cell phones, CD's, purses, cash, and other valuables in plain view inside your car. Don't laugh, 90 percent of all property thefts from vehicles in Pensacola were from UNLOCKED cars. It only takes a view minutes each day to keep from being a TARGET of CRIME.

* Keep your porch lights on at night.
* Use timers on your interior lights while you are away on vacation.
* Have your mail and newspaper stopped while you are away.
* Don't leave announcements on your answering machine that tell callers you are away.

Drive slowly in the neighborhood and please keep an eye open for our children playing in the park.
