As I moved in the neighborhood of Wolf Creek, I learned that there is no DSL service being provided. I currently use dail-up modem connection. My current telephone carrier is US West and they said this area doesn't have the cable to provide DSL service for computer connection. My roommate's previous residence was about 1.5 miles from here which DSL service was provided. I would like to know how many of you want to have DSL service for this area. So we can point out the number of potiental customers in this area to the telephone company or TV cable to upgrade their cable for DSL service.

DSL arrives!
anonymous, telocity at www.telocity.com now offers DSL services in the Wolfcreek neighborhood. The cost is $49.95 per month and $25 for the modem. No start up fees or installation. Service is 24/7 and included in the monthly fee as is your ISP. The ISP includes 5 email addresses and 10mb of web hosting. Please note that the phone lines in our area are VERY slow. instead of a DSL connect of 786K, you can expect about 300K, which is still 6 times faster than a 56K modem, and even with 56K I am connecting at about 26,400 because of the phone lines. The other option is digital cable but so far ATT is not offering it in our area. I would love to see the city do something about upgrading the phone lines. I think getting a petition together is a good idea. Anyone else? |

If you would like to know more about Adesta and the services they will provide, check out www.adestacommunications.com/longmont I know the timeline is out there, but wouldn't it be nice to get multiple useful services from one reliable provider? |
