Stolen male brindle french bulldog

Posted in: Lost Pets
I just lost my chocolate brindle French Bulldog, Bosco, yesterday on 12/19/2012. I feel your pain. I hope yours has been returned to you. Your ad brings me some hope. It's awful losing a beloved dog. These are not just any frenchies, they are rare and exclusive of color. Mine is 3 years & 5 months old. He is microchipped with HomeAgain & registered with them. He has current rabies & shots. He's never gotten away and came back on his own before, we always catch him. He was last seen on Grove Ave at 1:30p yesterday. We love him to no end & are saddened. We fear he was stolen therefore will never be found.

do you have any photos you can send to me? we just "adopted" a dog that sounds very similar to yours. Before we start loving him and get more attached, I would like to make sure that he isn't yours. thanks.

I'm not sure if you were inquiring to me the OP or to the other reply.

In any case, thank you for reaching out as our beloved pets have been gone for quite a while now.

Myself, I have not given up hope on one day being reunited. The one year anniversary since he went missing is quickly approaching.

To answer your question...I created a Facebook page for him, you can find many pictures for your reference there. The link is http://www.facebook.com/Hersheyfonehome

(Forum moderators, if the link is not allowed...my apologies and please edit accordingly.)

You could also just google "HersheyFoneHome"  and it will lead you in the right direction.

Hershey was also chipped. You could take him to a local vet, shelter or even adoption agencies you see at Petco, Petsmart, etc. to be scanned for a microchip free of charge. This is an ideal way to gain piece of mind that the dog you adopted is not one that inadvertantley never found his way home after being lost and assist you in finding their original owner in the event this is the case.

For you reference, Hershey's microchip starts with 07 and ends with 111.

In closing, I commend you for taking the initiative to reach out before becoming attached to make sure everything checks out. Very rare indeed in this day and age and deserves recognition, in my personal opinion.

I know the heartbreak you must be feeling. I looked at the photos and it does not look to be the same dog...which is good for me but bad for you. I'm terribly sorry to have gotten your hopes up. Hopefully, your baby will return to you soon! I actually was posting this to the other person missing their dog, however, they haven't responded yet.

Thank you.
