For the last two mornings (Nov. 10 & 11, 2008) there has been a grey cat with a pink collar on our back porch on Graymoor Rd.  The most distinguishing feature is that the cat is missing its front right leg.  It appears to have likely been missing for some time as it is quite mobile.  It is skiddish and therefore we haven't been able to coax it to us to see if there is any owner information on the collar.

If you own this cat or know the owner, please reply to me privately at ameasureoftime@gmail.com and let's talk.  We are not a cat family and have no interest in 'adopting' it, but we certainly are concerned for its well-being, especially with the weather turning colder.  Also, local leash laws prohibit pet owners from leaving their pets out to roam the neighborhood.....cats, dogs or otherwise.

If we haven't rec'd any replies in a couple of days then we will simply call animal control to capture it so that it is at least out of the cold.
