Today Tuesday 11/06/07 when I came home from work around 2:45pm I noticed 2 black males at the front of our subdivision with pads of paper in hand. One had a Manual High School black jacket on with blue jeans the other one has beige long pants with a gray sweat jacket with a hood. I went home for a few minutes then decided to drive back toward where I saw these two males. As I watch them from a distance I noticed the two male walking down Regency Wood selectively picking home to go up to and looking at the pad of paper they had and writing notes. At times they looked confused as to which way to go and which homes they wanted to go up to. They also went down Regency Woods, Hawkshead, St. George, and LimeHouse Lane.
I did call metro as it took them 45 minutes for them to respond. I asked the dispatcher to please (Her name was Toby) take my number but please do not broadcast it over the air. She gave me a little resistant to this I ask her to please have the officer to call the radio room for my number. The first officer who responded was Mark from Lincolnshire.. He heard the call from metro and then came to Regency Woods. I talked with him before he talked to the 2 guys. I then talked with Mark afterwards he told me that they were in our subdivision doing a selective home election poles. Mark took their ID information and told them that they would have to leave as there was was no soliciting. Mark also told me that they said they were dropped off by someone to walk our neighborhood. Mark also told me that it was good that I had call because of the recent break ins during the day near our neighborhood. Mark also said that if there was anything like this again to call him that he would be a much faster response then Metro. He gave me his cell phone number and he said not to hesitate to call. 376-9983 This is the number on his business card also.

A female officer from Metro did come soon after and I did talk to her but she did not talk the the two males.
