Regarding the March meeting minutes, are we still in the process of adopting Metro Louisville's Noise Ordinance? I feel it is sorely needed. For instance, we have a neighbor who feels it necessary to blow the horn between the hours of 4 and 6 am about 4 times a week. I've spoken with the neighbor about it, and well, let's just say the response was less than neighborly. Excuses for the horn-blowing were made, needless to say, it continues. School is about to start and I really want this to stop. I believe an on-the-books recourse for these trivial, yet bothersome, and indeed violating instances would benefit the residents of Woodlawn Park. Thank you.

I agree we need a noise ordinance ,Not only horns but music so loud it can be heard in your home and base so loud you can hear it on the next block.There are so many things that have changed since we moved in a few years ago we have talked about moving if things don't get better.

The council voted against adopting a noise ordnance at the last council meeting. Woodlawn Park will continue to rely on Metro Louisville ordnance as official enforcement. Woodlawn Park has worked with many residents on noise concerns and improved the situations.

That's diappointing, and surprising especially since so many council members seemed in favor of adopting a WP noise ordinance according to the past few month's worth of minutes. So, to be clear, whenever we have a problem with excessive noise, we are to call Louisville Metro Police? They are bogged down enough with doing important work and shouldn't have to respond to a car horn or excessive dog-barking. Doesn't really make sense does it?
