I have lived on Brentlinger Lane for 38 years. It has become a through way for travelers from Bardstown Road through to Billtown Road and the Snyder Freeway. In the morning hours and afternoon hours it is deadly, people trying to get home, traveling way too fast for this narrow little road (35 miles per hour speed limit), and it is unsafe during those hours. The residents who live on this road would appreciate it being widened a bit for safety from huge trucks, tractors, etc. as sometimes they dominate the road and regular travelers are forced to hit mailboxes or be forces from the road altogether. There was supposed to be a park started at the S curve, but this has been halted due to money matters I understand and we are left with an unfinished stretch of road that needs to be finished including the new curve that was supposed to be straightened out months before, (last fall). The proposed park area needs to be mowed at least from housing wild animals that are getting hit from the speeders on the road. We used to be able to walk (there are no sidewalks on this road) freely on the edge of the road, but that is no longer possible or you would be killed. Could you please let the residents in this area know something about getting our road back under control or widened enough to at least make it safe for travelers.
