Car break ins?

Posted in: Bellemeade - Bellemeade

Hello...yes we called the police as soon as we found out. I dont know who the watch block captin is and Im not too crazy about letting people on the internet know my address and where abouts but I live on Tristan. Just was curious if anyone maybe found her wallet in their yard as her purse was in my neighbors back yard.

Thank you for clarifying.  But...

Read was exactly my point in my post; there was nothing to read in your original post.  All anyone knew from your post was that somebody in some unknow part of Bellemeade (maybe) had a car brokem into about a half of a day ago.  Now we know what part; thanks.  Nobody expects you or anyone else to post their exact address, quite the opposite.

And how few seconds would it have taken to notify your Neighborhood Watch Block Captain so YOUR NEIGHBORS could be alerted?  Like I said, this has to be a COLLECTIVE effort.  Car, house, boat trailer, storage building, whatever, they are all the same when someone enters them illegally - it is a CRIMINAL act.  I would first call the police, then alert my neighbors through my Block Captain because I care about my neighbors and their possessions. Someone in Neighborhood Watch might have seen something - you expect them to tell you, but .......

Last point: let the police do their job.  Unconfirmed hearsay conversations (gossip about "bad behavior") could be destructive to a totally innocent person.

Yep, it was old news:  in that 12 hour plus period of time they could have broken into 48 cars at the rate of one every 15 minutes.

Yes, you have a life, so do your small children and all of the other residents of Bellemeade who have to learn to to take care of each other.  Criminals don't care about your kids life or yours or mine or the other honest people.  The old days of 30 years ago that you mentioned are long gone;  you can not leave doors unlocked; you can not leave valuables to include the garage door opener in the car.  You can not expect the police to be the ONLY source of protection.  I have been here 27 years and I learned to lock my doors SEVEN years ago.

By the way, I live near you and I would have adored you if you had alerted the rest of us, us YOUR NEIGHBORS.  When it happens to me, you can bet your bippie that I will first call the police and then call my Block Captain so you and the rest of Bellemeade  will know on a VERY TIMELY basis.

Don't misunderstand the things I wrote.  I am VERY GLAD that you got your drawers all in a wad at what I wrote.  Sometimes you have to touch a nerve to determine if a body is alive. It is going to take comapssionate passion to defeat the rise in crime.  I read about the violent crime in other areas of our city and sometimes deal with it first hand and then I give thanks that crime like that is not routine in our area ... YET.

UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!  True in 1776, still true today.

Well I have no clue who the "watch captin" is and I quite frankly does it matter if they know or not what are they scouring the neighborhood in camo looking for theives? Knowing the issue happened in your neighborhood is enough knowing the street is pointless. It happened sometime between 3am and 5am on the 26th. We noticed it at 9am and called the police asap. I have no clue who the neighborhood watch captin is so that is why I posted it here. I was letting my "neighbors" know by making this post. I didnt get my drawers in a wad just thought it was dumb you would expect me to post this the second after it happened and to imply its old news my gosh.
