MENA, ESIA have joint meeting

McKinley Elvas Neighborhood Alliance and East Sacramento Improvement Association held the organizations?’ first joint meeting on September 28 at David Lubin Elementary School where topics such as form-based zoning, the Folsom Boulevard McDonald?’s redesign and others were discussed.
After ESIA President Linda Cook and MENA President Rian Troth introduced their boards, guest speaker Ray Kerridge, assistant city manager and director of planning and development services for the city, addressed the members. He said that ?“public safety, livability and economic vitality?” are key when developing a general plan for the city.
City Councilman Steve Cohn, Community Representative Steven Ballew and a McDonald?’s spokesperson also spoke.
Form-based zoning was the topic of the evening, raising many questions from the audience.
