MENA joins ESIA, ESPTF to oppose plans

The MENA board voted in November to oppose Mercy?’s current plans for expansion, while remaining open to efforts to mediate with Mercy General Hospital.
In addition, this winter MENA joined the East Sacramento Improvement Association and the East Sacramento Preservation Task Force in opposition to the plan to build the heart center at 39th and J Streets in an attempt to show a unified front against the project, due to issues ranging from traffic, pollution of varying sorts, encroachment upon Sacred Heart School and a disregard for the size of other buildings and homes in the area.
