McKinley Park Update

City Councilmember Steve Cohn recently reported that plans for Phase I improvements have been identified and are in the final planning process.



Responding to the urging of and financial support of MENA, Phase I will include acorn lights along the perimeter of the park. Additional tasks will include picnic area and pool facility improvements: removal of the chain link fence, a new seat wall, relocation of the perimeter pool fence and landscaping. Construction for Phase 1 improvements is expected to start in the spring of 2005.



Additional improvements including new benches, picnic areas, trashcans, new restroom/concession building and plaza eating area are also planned but will be undertaken in the future as funds become available.
