H STREET FESTIVAL — THE FIRST OF AN ANNUAL EVENT! SEPTEMBER 11 —

H Street in East Sacramento will come alive with performances, displays and food in celebration of culture and diversity of California's arts on Saturday, September 11th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church grounds at 53rd Street.



The location is the corner of 53rd and H Streets in east Sacramento.



Among the arts organizations and social service organizations committed, performers will include:

?— Los Hijos de Siboney, a Latin Orchestra, whose members range in age from 19-71, playing popular tunes from the Latin big band era.

?— Doug Crawford Heart Drummer eliciting creativity and joy through inspired drumming.

?— Lil Laulauna Island Dancers performing Hula and Tahitian dances.

?— Mark Janssen of Central United Methodist Church performing Bach and other composers on the organ in the sanctuary.

?— Celebration Arts presenting vignettes from The Colored Museum and other numbers.

?— Paula Joy Welter's sharing her intriguing and enchanting story songs and acoustic finger-style guitar work.

?— Conquista Musical performing its unique style of Caribbean music and accompanied by Salsa Sacramento, showcasing high energy performance of Cuban swing and Salsa dances.
