McKinley East Sacramento Neighborhood Association (MENA)

First of all, I would like to start off by saying thank you to all of MENA?’s many members for giving me the opportunity to serve another term as MENA?’s president. Being president of such a great neighborhood organization is quite an honor and a job I serve to the best of my abilities and with the utmost dedication?—a job that could not be fulfilled without an amazing board. The board members, like myself, are volunteers and spend countless hours every month on various neighborhood issues and projects.
MENA is definitely fortunate to have such strong leadership from those whose dedication, skills and knowledge of various subjects continues to amaze me every single day. Most importantly, MENA is fortunate to have such active members who are always willing to volunteer countless hours and help out in the East Sacramento neighborhood every time the call of need is made.
MENA could not be as active and strong as it is without such a dedicated group of members. I want to say thank you to all the members who have volunteered time or made a donation to the neighborhood rummage sale at the Hart Senior Center. I also want to say thank you to the MENA members who will help make the Smell the Roses event at the McKinley Park Rose Garden another success. This will be a fantastic day for many local nursing home seniors who will enjoy the music of a local band, flowers, refreshments and the chance to interact with the East Sacramento community. In addition, I?’m sure MENA will have many volunteers help out with upcoming events such as the McKinley Park Playground restoration day and the Pops in the Park concert series.
Events in East Sac like these are one of the many reasons why I love being a part of East Sacramento.
