Third Quarter Association Meeting Aug.2009

Discussion:
1.Announcement of New Lawn Care company is Eartha'Turf Lawn Care (Owner-Nakeib)
We are now officially responsible for the property taxes of all common areas, retention ponds etc. Taxes now due. You may see the treasure or call the President for the amount due by October.
2.We would like to give congrats to our newly added board members for October 2009-October 2010. These members will take the positions as follows for 1yr term until the next turnover date of October 2010. Officers may hold position as long as they follow the by-laws of the association. The board will have the right of removal if deemed necessary. As follows:

Brigitte Thompson : President
Dewayne Watson: Vice-President
Brenda Chambers:Secretary
Angela Reid: Treasure
We would like to thank Addis Eshetu for his dedication and support as treasure. He has opted to be available as a backup when necessary to assist the board of directors.

3.Other discussions was brougt out to continue the request of buiding committees within the commununity.Such as neighborhood kids activity coordinators. This could be held by a high school senior or an active adult to build their leadership and teamwork abilities. Landscape committee to help with landscaping ideas.Lastly we are still in need of a neighborhood watch committee. Any interested members please contact the President or Vice-President for more information.
4.Question was raised to make financial statements more available to homeowners.As it stands statements are made upon request and read at all association meetings. Plans are to discuss options of mailing out regularly on a monthly or quarterly basis if budget allows. Future notice will follow.
5.Other discussions were the reminder of homeowners responsibility of their children and pets.
The board thanks all homeowners that took the time to be a part of this meeting. It was a great turn out and hope more owners will find the time to get more involved in supporting our cmmunity.

Lastly I would like to thank the homeowners for embracing me as the president for the last 3 years.Even when I declined the past year,you felt the need to keep me as your president another year. It was your kindness and understanding of the boards vision of what it will take to get an association off the ground,as well as the dedication of volunteers needed to build a strong communitee. This gave me the opportunity to meet some wonderful neighbors. Its been a great experience and I look forward to assisting you as secretary in whatever I can.
