I am very frustrated with the lack of grass in the open areas at the back of our condo between our condo (3575 Rydal)and the Pozniaks and all along the back ... these areas are now mostly weeds and dirt. This area was poorly designed as the sprinklers do not hit the area and grass cannot grow. We were told this area would be landscaped. When we complained about the gutters running along our condo ... they placed a drain which looks horrible.

Barbara, Did you or anyone else complain to Ryland about this problem? If that is what was promised they need to fulfill it. What we have found out is that you almost always have to go over some heads to the Corporate office to get things done. The HOA got Ryland to give us some money to reseed around the pond and we only got half way around ( which is the other side from where you are). Several of the homeowners volunteered their time to plant the seed and cover it with straw and it did help a lot. I really believe this is something that Ryland should of followed through with especially if they meant trees, shrubs etc. |

NOTHING PROVIDED!
I am completely frustrated by the total lack of information provided by the HOA AND RYLAND on addressing the long list of concerns! When are board meetings? Where are meeting minutes? Where is the accountability to show our money is being spend even semi-wisely? My back yard has not been seeded (4076 Grasmere), the grading of the land is horrible (standing water almost always), and this is on top of the many issues we dealt with inside the house. Communicating with Ryland has been below-average and Amity has been invisible. Maybe we need to re-assess who we let manage our property... |

Again, I have to repeat that we have been putting everything out in the articles on this site. The problems you are having with the grading and the grass needs to be worked out with Ryland. The HOA cannot afford to fix everyones yards when Ryland should of done it right the first time. We all have had poor response from Ryland. Many of us have escalated to the Coorporate office in Chicago. That seems to be the only way to get action from them. We had that same problem with the grading and so many people complained that they came out and regraded it. Beleive me we all understand your frustration. All of us on the HOA are volunteers and we do have full time jobs so we are doing the best we can do. It is not as easy as it looks especially with this new neighborhood. |
