2010 CENSUS INFORMATION

Thanks for contacting me, and thanks for your offer to help publicize the Census!  That would be great if you could put information on the websites you maintain and in the newsletter.    Here's a link to a 2 page document that does a good job of summarizing the Census (including a timeline), and explaining how groups like yours can help:

http://2010.census.gov/2010census/pdf/FactSheet_Comm_Rev4-16-08.pdf

You can feel free to take information from that document and use it either for the newsletter or for the websites.  Also, we have some drop in articles that you can copy and paste right in, if you like.  Here's an example of one:

Of course you are free to write something yourself, or just use parts of that article.  Just let me know what you would like to do, and I can help.

As for the temporary jobs, recruiting and testing for census taker jobs starts in the fall;   http://2010.census.gov/2010censusjobs/

And applications are being accepted now for a number of management jobs;   http://www.census.gov/rodet/www/columbuscentral2010jobs.html

Please don't hesitate to email or call with any questions, I look forward to working with you.   Thanks,
