Important Meeting Regarding Proposed Bus Depot on Avery Rd.
September 8, 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM – Meeting Against the Proposed School Bus Depot on Avery Road
If you are opposed to the increased traffic, congestion, and pollution that would result from a bus depot being sited at the Blair Ewing Center (former Mark Twain School) on Avery Road, join your neighbors on Thursday, September 8, at 6:30 pm at the Bauer Drive Rec Center, 14625 Bauer Drive, for a rally against the proposed school bus depot. Residents from Aspen Hill, Flower Valley, Manor Park, Manor Lake, Rock Creek Manor, Twinbrook and Avery Road will be attending. Let’s make sure the Montgomery County Council knows this is not an acceptable location for the reasons cited above.
WE NEED YOU AT THIS RALLY. Show your support of our communities and neighborhoods. A strong showing on September 8th might stop the Avery Bus Depot NOW. Don’t think this is a pipe dream. Rockville’s West End stopped the County from putting the bus depot in THEIR neighborhood, now we need to stop it in OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.
