18 wheeler in North Lake?

to be fair - if youre gonna tell him to park his truck properly - which means elsewhere - up the hill and on the right - is a boat parked in the frontyard - those are supposed to be parked inside the fenced enclosure of the backyard  - and it appears that kids are removing the rocks from the drainage area right next to that - those rocks are there to prevent further erosion and possible damage to the road

I agree, so how do we (NLHA) approach these situations in the future?

first - put out a letter or flyer  to inform the homeowners what the rules are - they may simply not know - then  if they continue to do something they arent supposed to - the board will have to speak to them on an individual basis - the rocks from the drainage area must simply be put back where they came from - a good job for the landscape crew - myself - i want those dead end blocks erected and the roads repaved - but safety is the primary concern till then - at my end of the street people constantly get in the dirt - turn around - get wheelies - or whatever the kids call it these days - and drag dirt and mud all over the road - so i say either pave it or block it off

Thank you both for your messages.  Saints Fan made a very good point.  We are all responsible for the maintenance of the by-laws and covenants regardless of being a director or not.

The By-laws and Covenants are on this website.  We will send out a letter within the next week or so that introduces the board, invoices for dues, and states our overall focus now and in the future.  There will be a reference to this website.  There will also be a reference to our duties as a board to uphold the covenants and by-laws.  Our intent is to tighten things up.

Our stance is that drainage is the responsibility of the county.  We will refer this item to them for action.  As stated at the last meeting, the road block is under investigation.  We, in conjuntion with the county, will determine if that is a county responsibility or a HOA responsibility.  It also needs to be determined whether this is a future planned accessway or not.  As stated, this is currently under investigation with our regulatory chairperson.

As we talked about at the last meeting, we will inform our neighbors where to view the covenants and by-laws and give everyone an adequate time to become familiar with the same.  We will commence enforcement of the by-laws after the first of the year as things have become a little slack here.

We as a neighborhood should and will enforce all sections and not be selective.
