Marlborough Neighbors,
I sent this message out to those on the Neighborhood Email List. I thought this might be a good place to get some feedback also from those who maybe have not signed up yet.
The following message was sent to me from Neighborhood Link. I will make it as brief as possible. You might want to read their message FIRST further down the page.
In our neighborhood, we have only one problem with their Pig-e-Bank Program -- we have no ''entity'' to make the checks payable to should we receive any. They have told me to sign up to receive it with my SS# in all 0's. They knew there would be some communities with problems such as ours. I think this program could work and indeed earn us money ... but where to put it ... and who pays the taxes is something even they have not figured out yet. If any of you out there have any experience with this sort of thing and how we should handle it, please call or email me -- any ideas will help.
One more note: We as a neighborhood can SUGGEST places of business we would like to participate. My understanding is that we ALL can select which online businesses we would like affiliated with our Pig-e-Bank Program. If you have suggestions for busineses -- please email me and I will take it from there.
Many have wanted a place to advertise, buy, sell, etc. -- it is now HERE on our website! YOU enter the information. Several have already been put on there.
The new look has also removed MOST of the word ''Association'' from the headings, which for us and many more has never applied. Neighborhood Link's message was as follows:

We have two new exciting news items to share with you - your new site design, and the launch of the Community Pig-e-Bank Program!
NEW LOOK FOR NEIGHBORHOODS!
There is a new look to your neighborhood Web site! The site may have changed on the outside, but not the inside; all of the features you are used to using haven't changed a bit. We have combined
neighborhood and association information into one category titled ''Neighborhood Information''. More prominence has been
given to the Community Calendar and Talk About It areas of the sites. There is now a third column with new icons that link directly to Clubs and Organizations, Live Chat, Free Classifieds, and the Community Pig-e-Bank Program.
EARN MONEY FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION!
The Community Pig-e-Bank Program is here! This new feature is a way for you to use your organization's Web site to raise money for your community or your organization.
Here's how it works: Anyone can go to your Neighborhood Link Web site, choose from a list of merchants, and shop from the merchant Web sites. A commission from each purchase is deposited in your organization's Pig-e-Bank account. Your organization will periodically receive checks from Neighborhood Link for the
commissions earned through your group's Pig-e-Bank Program.
The merchants cover a wide variety of categories, including: gifts, groceries, books, computer software, clothing, and household items. Once your neighborhood association or community group is signed up, Neighborhood Link will take care of all the accounting functions. The Community Pig-e-Bank Coordinator can select which online businesses you would like affiliated with your Web site's Pig-e-Bank Program.
Remember - the more purchases made through your Pig-e-Bank, the more money for your organization! So let your friends, neighbors and family members know about your Web site. Spreading the word helps increase the money you can raise for your group's projects!
