Marlborough Neighbors ... More BAD NEWS ... This is the same message that was sent to all those in the neighborhood whose EMAILS I have. It was:

Almost ALL streets in Marlborough have been affected by the recent rash of car
break-ins and thefts. Last night there were 2 more on Peralta, 2 on Pecos, 1 on
Pampa, 1 on Posada. These were in addition to the one on Beverly Circle, Spruce,
Posada ... etc, etc, etc. Mind you -- these are JUST the ones I am aware.

I am told by 2 of the individuals whose cars were broken into, that last night the
police caught some juveniles ''in the act''. No one knows at this time IF they were
the ones who actually have been IN our area committing all the break-ins and
thefts.

I have put a call in and left a message for our CAT Officer, Carlos Gastelum, whom
I have not heard back from at this time.

The valuables ... registrations, car manuels, GARAGE DOOR OPENERS (easy access
to your home) and Christmas presents the theives have taken ... possibly may turn
up in their possession. We shall see. I will keep you posted as I learn more. If you
can provide any information or have seen anything -- please call the Mesa Police at
either 644-3480, 644-2211 or 644-2614.

I will post any NEW information I receive from Officer Gastelum on our website
at neighborhoodlink.com/mesa/marlborough/ in the Talk About It area.

Our latest Crime Report for Marlborough came in just now. Naomi Mills sees that
this is put on our website on a monthly basis. It has certainly GONE UP since the
last few months! The statistics are:

2 Criminal Damage (vandalism)
1 Theft - Residential
1 Theft - from Vehicle
3 Burglary - Residential
1 Stolen Vehicle

We have also had the first Christmas decoration stolen from a home on Obispo --
''Snoopy''. It has been in their family for years. If you have seen its whereabouts
-- please call Karen at 480-839-8006. They would be very grateful for ''his''
return.

Please keep a watchful eye -- alert the police -- occurences are taking place
between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am.
