IF POSSIBLE - please help me get the word out on the following incident!
Saturday Night - we were just finishing loading our van for our =
Vacation: Camp we are helping to run in Oceanside, CA.
Dan & I were both in and out of the house with loads - Alyssa our 11 =
year old daughter was placing WD-40 on her scooter in the drive-way =
infront of our 3rd Bay - at 952 W. Plata Avenue. Dan was literally gone =
for 1-2 seconds - when Alyssa screamed and ran crying hysterically into =
our home. Dan ran out front to see what - had happened. I told Alyssa to =
calm down and tell me what was wrong. Alyssa described the following:
Alyssa then described a young male teen approximately 16-17 years of =
age and about 5'6'' - very slender - very ''pasty white'' - wearing either =
a pair of jean shorts or cargo shorts that were frayed - no shirt - with =
a backwards baseball cap on his brown haired head and athletic shoes. He =
ran within 2-3 feet of Alyssa - his shorts were dropped and he was =
holding his exposed male testicle and wiggling his tongue at her. Alyssa =
screamed - startling him and ran into the home.
Mesa Police responded to our 911 call within 5 to 7 minutes - 5 =
squad cars and an air helicopter searched Marlborough Mesa for this =
young man to no avail. The officer who took this report mentioned that =
east of Extension on Pampa - last week they had to respond to a =
''peeking'' young man - looking in on 6 & 8 year old girls in their =
bedroom window - at night - approximately between 9 p.m. & 10 p.m.
We will be having additional officers patroling the area and this =
incident will be reported to the Sexual Assault Unit & Department.
PLEASE get the word out - especially for our children. But to warn our =
neighbors that may ''walk'' at night, etc.=20
