Found an older (estimate anywhere from 7 to 11 years old), collarless, female pug this afternoon at 3:30-3:45 pm. She was on Extension at Pecos and was very frightened. Took her to the Alma School Veterinary Clinic (Safeway shopping center) to see if she had an ID microchip and unfortunately she did not. They were unable to keep her for safekeeping and suggested I call Mesa Animal Control. Called Mesa Animal Control and they would not be able to pick her up from my residence until tomorrow, so they suggested I drop her off at the dog pound. The dog pound is located on Rio Salado Pkwy. just east of the 101 freeway. If you know anyone who may have lost this lovely pet, please let them know where she is. Thank you.
(I am sorry...I have a large dog--approx 125 lbs. and he is clumsy and awkward around other animals. I thought he might accidentally injure her.)
