Marlborough Mesa

I'm not sure how many of you heard the police helicopters flying over our neighborhood this morning, but it was pretty obvious as our house shook.  I contacted that Mesa PD to see what was going on and got two different stories.  The first was that there was a car jacking in Tempe and then stopped them here.  The second story that is was a robbery suspect in Phoenix that they stopped in here in our neighborhood.  The reason the helicopter was so loud is that it was supposedly the Phoenix "bird" which is much larger and makes a lot more noise than the Mesa "birds," and apparently they fly theirs much lower. 

Thanks for the information.  This helicopter woke me up at 2:25 am and flew until approx. 3:30 am.  The copter was loud and sure made for a long work day, 01/31/13.  Regardless, glad the police made a stop and hopefully arrested the suspect in this car jacking or robbery.

We heard it too at 3am and saw the red flashing lights from police cars in front of our house on Mollera. Also saw the helicopter shining its light in our backyard.
