We have a feral cat that has been in our yard for almost 10 years.  There is a pure black cat that everytime I feed her he or she eats all of her food.  I am a very much animal lover and if this cat is yours please keep him or her inside.  If I could bring her in the house!  I would suggest that you keep the cat inside and if you love animals do not let them run about the yards.  They should be kept inside and taken care of.

I live on Pecos and the cat seams to go to Plata.  I will call animal control to have he or she removed from the neighborhood.

I am an animal lover also and this post makes no sense.  Does this feral cat even have shots? So the cats in the neighborhood that have shots and are taken care of should be locked inside? And the feral cat you have is allowed to go into other neighbors yards and spray on their furniture? I have a cat that was saved also but it was already used to being outside, so I can't keep it in.  To make you happy I need to lock it inside or I don't love it?

As they say people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, yet it seems to me that is what you are doing. Call animal control on the pet that is up to date on shots and such and allow the feral animal to continue running the neighborhood spraying peoples furniture as it sees fit?

If you want to keep a cat out of your yard buy a small spray bottle of water and spray it, and keep spraying it until it stops coming in. If your not able to do that let me know and I will get you one, because calling animal control really shouldn't be the option. Although I am pretty sure you probably have them on speed dial.

I agree cats that are taken care of should be allowed outside to explore and have fun.

I'm confused to whom this black cat is that sprayed on my outdoor furniture belongs too. Is this the feral cat? Is this the cat that has been hanging around to 10 years?

Cats typically do not spray if they have been spray or neutered at a young age, and a feral cat usually is so wild that it will not approach people.

Be aware we have a cat killer in the neighborhood!!! This is how I lost my Rusty.
