My patio roof has leaked on to my patio like rain for the last several days. Why? Because the idiot that designed the roof did not either(1) provide enough slope to prevent the melting ice on the roof daming up behind the remaining ice from leaking through the shingles and through the materials under the shingles or (2) provide a roofing material impervious to this damed water.

When I called the builder about this, he said houses here in Tulsa were not designed for ice -- that we were not Colorado. Them I asked him since we do have ice forming on our roofs here in Tulsa (from snow melting and refreezing, from sleet or from freeaing rain), isn't it kind of stupid not to design for it. I got no answer. The buider did say he had identical complaints from several other people.

Reminds me when St. Peter said the building of the Pearly Gates took a lot of effort because he first had to go to Hell to find a contractor.

Do you know, generally speaking, the carious builders of RP?

I think it would be nice to have a historical document of which builders built which houses. For instance Jon Vroomann built mine (now Hallmark Homes)

I think such a database would be great for buyers considering new homes built by the same builders of ours. Of course it could also be used as a database to avoid certain builders. I suppose it cuts both ways, but I think it would provide much benefit.

I'm sorry to hear the problems you are having with your house. I've noticed that generally the houses in RP seem to hold up well and be of superior construction.

My builder was Mark Neeley (Quality Remodeling & Construction, Inc.). Dodson also built some of the houses. Mr. Neeley actually worked for Mr. Dodson.

Yes, I see the name Dodson mentioned a lot. I first thought mine was built by him, but it was Vrooman. Maybe Vrooman had a similiar arrangement Neeley did.
