Officers Stop String of Home Invasions

HOME INVASION SUSPECTS

SUSPECT: Walter D. Pinckney, B/M DOB: 02-26-90,703 Belt Ct.
CHARGES: Armed Robbery-4counts, Grand Theft, Aggravated Battery
SUSPECT: Victoria L. Williams, B/F DOB: 06-18-84, 2303–2200 Cedar Trace Dr
CHARGES: Armed Robbery
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: B/F, with the nickname Peaches, mid 20’s, 5’4” 140lbs

DETAILS:
On 06-12-08 at approximately 12:15am, the two female suspects knocked on the victim’s door
and asked to use the phone. The victim let them use his cell phone few moments later, the
females knocked at the door again. When the victim opened the door, he was confronted by
2 male suspects who forced their way into the apartment. Colbert struck the victim several times
on the back of the head with a .38 cal revolver causing several lacerations and trauma.
The victim acted as if he was unconscious. The suspects removed several electronic items of
the victims’ property and fled.

VICTIM: Evuneda B. Valantasis, W/F, DOB: 7/8/86
DETAILS:
On 6-12-08, 7:00pm, the victim answered a knock at her apartment door and was confronted by a
masked gunman who struck her in the face with a revolver and
pushed her to the floor. He then dragged her by her hair, forcing her into a
closet. Once in the closet, a second suspect entered the residence and the two suspects removed
several electronic items.

Tampa Police officers and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 3 suspects in a
string of 5 home invasions in the New Tampa area. In each case, two female suspects would
knock on the victim’s door asking to use the phone. Then the male suspects would force their way
into the apartment. The victims were knocked to the ground and several were pistol-whipped.
Tampa Police used a Reverse 911 system to notify all New Tampa residents not to open their
doors to strangers while under cover officers saturated the area over the last eight days. Detectives
are still searching for the fourth female suspect. The suspects are also accused of two robberies
and an armed burglary.
