Holiday Decorating Contest Winners

Congratulations to the following Mayfield residents who were winners in the
Holiday Decorating Contest.

1st Place: Best House
The Crofts at 2205 Kentucky Ave. for their ice cool blue and white house and yard.

2nd Place: Best House
Mary and Paul McMullen at 2225 Lake Ave. for their curious mix of Victoriana and pink-flamingo led Santa sleigh.

3rd Place: Best House
Tim & Maggie Schneid at 2215 Pelham Ave. for their more than 6,000-count, meticulously hung multi-colored light display. The Schneid?’s report they have now been bitten with the bug to achieve a 1st-place ranking!

Honorable Mention
2200 Kentucky Ave. for the tasteful Williamsburg-style wreaths and ribbons on every window and doorway fruit display.

1st Place: Best Door & Porch
The Ciuchtas at 2430 Pelham Ave. for their lovely, traditional swags of pine and fabulous hunting-horn wreath.

2nd Place: Best Door & Porch
Walter Graham and Walt Osborne at 2239 Lake Ave. for the Christmas-red glow coming from their door and porch.

3rd-Place: Best Door & Porch
Paulette Schauder at 2203 Lake Ave. for her fun, retro-style sign and mini-Christmas tree complete with porch-side, hat-tipping snowman.

Best Block
2400 Chesterfield whose almost full participation in decoration was highlighted by coordinated light displays at two houses and a homage to New York City?’s firemen at another.
