MCA Picnic was a lot of fun for all neighbors and friends!

On Saturday, August 27th, MCA held its first picnic in the park for all ages to come and enjoy! I think it was a success, and from what everyone has told me, everyone else thinks so too! I am glad that the weather was not too bad. We had some showers, but it didn't seem to stop the kids and adults from continuing the party. With the moonbounce and several awnings, we were able to stay dry and then come back out when the sun did. The kids had a lot of fun with the tattoos, moonbounce, races, and the great visit from the Talleyville Firetruck. THAT WAS FANTASTIC!

I had hoped for a larger turnout, but was pleased to see all that did participate. I did notice, however, that there was only one senior citizen couple who attended (Mr and Mrs Parish I think that was the name - forgive me). We will have to work on getting more senior neighbors in on the fun.

THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HELPED...I would like to list a few but please forgive me if I leave you out...thanks to Dan Kane for getting the moonbounce, running for the cakes and chips, helping with setup and cleanup, and for coordination of the firetruck visit; Thanks to Gregg and Dean for helping with setup and cleanup and running all my errands; Thanks to RJ and Laura for helping with the setup, organizing the food, and cleanup; Thanks to Diane and her family (sons) for helping with setup of tents, donation of all paper goods, use of their bathroom and cleanup; Thanks to Lynn and Jim Wade for running for the ice, setup and cleanup; Thanks to Kyle Smith for the great idea and coordinating the wagon parade; Thanks to Robert and Karen for donating the use of the electricity for the moonbounce; AND THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HELPED IN ANYTHING THAT I HAVE FORGOTTEN!!!!!!!!!!
