Is there ANY rule in this neighborhood regarding keeping your yard kept up while its for sale?

Yes, the rules apply...

...even when a house is for sale. We sent out dozens of letters every month & it's a slow process. State law requires us to notify people several times before we can issue fines and, sadly, most people who don't take care of their yards ignore the warnings until they are being fined. It hurts the whole neighborhood & we're trying really hard to get people to cooperate and be good neighbors.

The city of Charlotte has a code stating if the weeds and grass is over 12 inches long you can call the city at 311 and report the address.
