I read the posting on lawn maintenance; does this apply to backyeards as well? The neighbor directly behind me does not mow or edge the grass & weeds growing against my fence. I've let this go on for some time and at times have applied grass & weed killer along the fence line on my side. I plan to treat/apply sealant on both sides but need the neighbor's weeds & grass trimmed first. I've put this off hoping they would take care of it themselves which, to date, has not happended.

yard upkeep
gayle, i'm not sure about the guidelines. i need to get a copy of the hoa convenants and see what we can do to fix these problems. i know valcourt rd. looks horrible! nobody even cares about their yards (probably folks that are renting). we need to do something about this...

Backyards, too
Yes, Gayle, to the best of my knowledge the regulations apply to back yards, also. But sometimes it may be harder to tell that back yards are getting out of control. If you'll send me the address of the residence in question, I'll report it so a letter can be sent out.
Thanks!

Renters
I would start by making sure that the RENTERS (as homeowners so lightly put it) are made aware of the association rules before jumping to the fact that Renters dont care about where they live. It doesnt make you better then them we all live in the same place!
