Covenant Violators

Posted in: Legacy Pointe
I again strongly urge board members to ensure swift and effective action against residents who repeatedly park their automobiles outside their personal driveways. Repeat violators should be approached with a copy of covenant restrictions in the event they're as yet unfamiliar with them.

My next-door-neighbor has for two-years continued to park his commercial utility vehicles--flat-bed trailers, commercial pick-up trucks, cement mixers, bulldozers, backhoes, etc.--within feet of my driveway, thereby presenting a potential traffic hazard--and in full violation of covenant limitations. I've spoken with my neighbor regarding this problem and have achieved only negative results.

Step up to the plate, board directors: Rules aren't made to be broken, and neither are they enacted to be followed only by an abiding few.

Thank you!

Covenant Rules Regarding Parking

Here's a second such appeal to our POA leaders:

Happily, residents along Persimmon Street are largely in collective accord in adhering to covenant rules--though, unfortunately, there is an exception. Neighbors living at 6287 Persimmon have for months violated covenant parking restrictions in nightly parking a vehicle licensed as ''Arkansas 220515'' at roadside. To do so is potentially dangerous, and is as much an arbitrary breach of collective neighborhood cooperation as a flagrant violation of covenant. Again, I ask POA leaders to step up to the plate and vigorously enforce pre-existing rules regarding parking procedure. Indeed if one resident routinely insists upon parking illegally, then the gates are open for all to do so. Which is it, POA leaders--rules for all or no rules whatsoever?

Thank you!

Parking

My home is custom-built, though it readily conforms to the physical limitations placed on it via the restrictions and rules as evidenced within our neighborhood covenants--for indeed, a covenant is a binding agreement emplaced to protect and satisfy all. On a personal note, I fully understood these restrictions upon first moving to this neighborhood three years ago, and I happily live by them today. I thus again appeal to the residents of 6287 Persimmon Street to properly park their vehicles (AR 220515 and CA 3XEK197) within their driveway in accordance with covenant restrictions, and for reasons of safety. I similarly urge POA leaders again to step to the plate and assume responsibility for maintaining reasonable rule in the neighborhood.

My thanks to all--
