Pot Holes on Hoomalu St.

Posted in: Pearl City Neighborhood Board No 21
I E-mailed to the C&C of Honolulu Road Dept and the Mayor of Honolulu to repair the potholes on Hoomalu St. in Pearl City. The Mayor responded to me to be patient because they have over 5,000 potholes to be patched. I was patient and months went by and one day, I noticed that my steering wheel was canted to one side. I took in in to the repair shop and they told me that I needed wheel alignment and my tie rod needed to be repaired. I filed and refiled a pothole damage claim report but was refused to be compensated for my auto repairs by the City Corporate Counsel. They say that someone checked the road in question on Hoomalu St. from Komo Mai Drive to Hooiki St. and there were no problems with that section. If the City had previously repaired the potholes right away, my car would not been damaged. The City should maintain their roads in proper condition so the people like me should not have to get their cars realigned and pay for the repair bills.
I want someone to ride on Hoomalu St. between Komo Mai Dr. to Hooiki St. now and tell me if all of the potholes are patched and the road is in good shape. The City Corporation Counsel are a bunch of Liers!!!
I wrote to Gary Okino over a week ago to have the potholes patched but I got no reply.
In all, please contact the right Dept. or person to have the potholes on Hoomalu St patched!!!
I'm sick and tired of all of this bull s--t.

Very disappointed and furious-
